IN DETAIL
Meet the Maurice Storage Ottoman in Natural Linen by Voyage Maison – a beautifully considered piece of furniture that combines relaxed style with genuinely useful functionality.
Generously proportioned and softly rounded, Maurice brings an inviting sense of comfort to the centre of a room. Its natural linen-look upholstery gives the ottoman a wonderfully relaxed appearance, while the softly weathered wooden frame adds structure and character.
But Maurice is about much more than good looks.
The clever reversible top gives you two useful ways to enjoy the piece. Keep the upholstered side facing upwards when you want somewhere comfortable to rest your feet or an occasional seat, then simply turn the top over to create a practical solid surface for drinks, books, a tray or decorative accessories.
Lift the top and you'll discover generous concealed storage – ideal for keeping throws, cushions, magazines and other living room essentials neatly tucked away.
With its generous 90cm round footprint, Maurice is perfectly sized to sit at the heart of a seating arrangement, bringing together comfort, practicality and relaxed character in one distinctive piece.
THE BEAUTY OF HAND-FINISHED TIMBER
One of the most appealing features of Maurice is its characterful wooden finish. The solid occasional-table surface and decorative timber frame have a softly weathered, aged appearance that celebrates the natural beauty and individuality of the materials.
Look closely and you'll notice variations in the grain, natural knots, darker markings and irregular tonal patches. These details are part of the handmade character of the finish, giving the timber an authentic, time-worn appearance rather than the uniform look of a perfectly manufactured surface.
Each piece has its own individual character, with natural variations in colour, texture and markings. No two finishes will be exactly alike.
Importantly, these distinctive details are intentional features of the design, not damage or defects. They bring warmth, depth and personality to Maurice, making it a particularly lovely choice for interiors that appreciate natural materials and beautifully imperfect finishes.
THE RAW NATURAL LINEN LOOK
The softly textured natural linen-look upholstery gives Maurice its relaxed, timeless character.
Its neutral tone makes it exceptionally easy to style, allowing you to introduce colour through cushions, throws, rugs and accessories without competing with the main piece. Pair it with warm woods and natural textures for a classic country feel, or use it as a calming neutral foundation within a more contemporary interior.
THE MAURICE DESIGN
One piece. Several possibilities.
Use Maurice as a comfortable footstool when relaxing, an occasional seat when guests arrive, a practical coffee table when the solid side of the top is facing upwards, or simply as beautifully concealed storage for the things you want close at hand but out of sight.
Its generous round form also encourages a more relaxed approach to living-room furniture, making it particularly effective when placed centrally between sofas and armchairs.
