Pre-Order & Cancellation Policy

1. What is a Pre-Order?
A pre-order allows you to secure highly sought-after furniture, soft furnishings, or design pieces before they arrive at our warehouse or enter final production. By placing a pre-order, you are guaranteeing your allocation from our incoming artisan or manufacturing shipments.
2. Payment Terms
Payment for pre-ordered items is collected in full at the time of checkout to guarantee your reservation. This secures the item at the published price and ensures it is allocated directly to you the moment it arrives in stock.
3. Estimated Delivery Timelines
Pre-order delivery dates are provided as estimates based on current production schedules from our design houses and freight partners. While we work diligently to meet these windows, global transit, port delays, or supply chain shifts can occasionally alter timelines.
If an item faces an extended or significant delay beyond the initial estimate, our customer care team will notify you promptly with an updated delivery schedule.
4. Cancellation Before Dispatch
If you change your mind while waiting for your pre-ordered item to arrive, your cancellation rights depend entirely on the type of product purchased:
- Standard Pre-Order Items: For non-custom items (such as standard lighting, cushions, or stock accessories), you have the right to cancel your pre-order at any time *prior* to dispatch for a full refund. To cancel, please email info@hazelwoodinteriors.ie with your order number.
- Bespoke & Custom-Upholstered Items: If your pre-order involves a bespoke, custom-sized, or made-to-order furniture piece or mattress, production begins shortly after booking. Because these items are tailored to your specific requirements, **they cannot be cancelled, amended, or refunded** once the manufacturing process has commenced.
5. Statutory Online Cooling-Off Period
In accordance with Irish and European Union Consumer Rights regulations, for all standard online pre-orders, your statutory 14-day cooling-off period begins **the day you receive physical possession of the goods**, not on the date the pre-order was paid. Once delivered, standard return fees and conditions apply as outlined in our primary Refund Policy.
6. Orders Containing Both In-Stock & Pre-Order Items
If your order contains a combination of currently in-stock pieces and pre-order items, your order will by default be held and dispatched together once the pre-ordered item arrives. If you require the in-stock items to be delivered immediately, please contact us. Please note that separate delivery charges may apply for split shipments.
